India Vs South Africa - Cricket World Cup 2019 Match Highlights today- 05-06-2019



South Africa won the toss and choose to bat first against India's very first match in this world cup. this decision proved immediately wrong when both openers got out scoring less than 10 runs. Plessis and Dusan stayed for a while scoring around 50 runs partnership and both left leaving the team in dangerous position.
Duminy could also only score 3 runs. Morris and Phehlukwayo stood over 80 runs partnership which supported the team a little when another loss faced by south African. these two scored 42 and 34 respectively and whole team got out on 227 runs. Rabada's 31 lead the lead to score over 200 runs.
Chahal was phenomenal as he took 4 wickets. Kumar and Bumrah took 2 wickets each while remaining 1 wicket was taken by Yadav.







India started out very slowly and players seemed struggling . Indian batsmen were given so many chances and south african were not impressive in the field at all. it could be becuase of the down morale of the team with recent defeats.
Dhawan and Kohli could not score any significant score Rahul scored 26 and left for pavilion. Rohit still stayed on the crease and kept the scoreboard ticking.



Rohit completed his fifty in the meantime. Dhoni was on the crease and he was playing sensibly until this moment when he played reckless short in the middle and gave a simple catch.  Rohit kept going and made his hundred. Pandya came when South Africa was near the defeat and he stayed till the first victory of Indian team in cricket world cup 2019. Rohit scored 122 and was given MOM award which was well deserved.

Today was the beginning of cricket world cup 2019 in England and wales. First match was played between South Africa and Host England. It was played at historic cricket ground of Oval in London. Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to field against England.It was a fair sunny weather and the pitch was tough for batting as root said after the innings. Imran Tahir took the wicket of Jonny Bairstow on the second ball. Roy and Root stayed on the wicket for sometime as they stood over hundred runs partnership.
