Bangladesh Vs South Africa World Cup 2019 match highlights 02-06-2019
South Africa won the toss at Oval in london and elected to bowl first. intention was to bowl bangladesh out earlier in the innings and win the match by maximum margin and with losing least amount of wickets. it did not go as planned for Proteas as both opening batsmen played really carefully. they were aiming to not lose a wicket carelessly. Tamim got out on 16 on the ball of Phehlukwayo. Suumya Sarkar stood firm on the wicket with Shakib on the other end of the wicket. they both stood quite well for some time when Sarkar lost his wicket to Morris on 42 of 30 balls.
Mushfique was next batsman to come in. he stayed with Shakib on the wicket and both were ticking the scoreboard slowly. both scored 8 boundaries and Shakib also hit one short out of the park.
This partnership of over 150 runs proved very well to the bengali tigers.
Mithun came afterwards to bat in 36th over who was bowled out by Imran Tahir. he scored 21 off 21 balls. Mahmodullah 46 off 33 balls which includes 3 fours and a six helped Bangladesh team reach 300+ runs. Mosaddek put some bonus runs in the total to make is 330 FOW 6 in 50 overs.
Proteas looked helpless as their bowling did not go as planned.Morris, Tahir and Phehlukwayo took 2 wickets each and no other bowler can take the wicket.
Economy of their best bowler was surprisingly high at 8.50 and he could not help proteas.
De kock and markaram stayed in the middle as they started their innings, first wicket fell on 49 when de kock was run out by Mushfiqur. Markaram could not complete his fifty and he lost his wicket to Shakib on 45.Du plesis and Miller supported their falling wall a little but it did not remain for long and both went to pavilion scoring 62 and 38 accordingly.
Dusan and Duminy scored 41 and 45 respectively, There was no other significant performance in the south african innings on which we can write something.
Their team scored 308 in 50 overs and Bangladesh won the match by 21 runs
