West Indies Cricket World Cup 2019 Squad- Good and Bad Eggs:


Jason Holder: This Guy has played 90 matches in ODI cricket since the start of his career in 2013.He started captaincy in the hard times of Windies cricket. He is an all-rounder who has proved himself in recent times. He has scored 1471 runs and 119 wickets in his career. His best figures in bowling are 5/27 and his batting average is 26.

Batting Eggs:

Darren Bravo: He is a reliable Top-Order batsman of West Indies scoring over 2500 runs in 102 Matches with an average of 32 and a strike rate of 70 and highest score of 124.He has scored 3 Centuries and 18 Fifties in his fabulous career. West Indies will rely on him in this world cup because he is a good sensible cricketer.

Chris Gayle: He is one of the few players in this World Cup who started their career in the previous century. In his long career of 289 matches, he has scored over 10000 runs in ODI Cricket with an average of 38.2 and a strike rate of 87. His highest score is 215.Scoring 25 tons and over 50 half-centuries, he is one the greatest hard-hitters in world cricket who can change the condition of match easily and is known as UNIVERSE BOSS.

Shimron Hetmyer: Starting his career two years ago, his strike rate of 110 and average of 40 shows that he is a great hard-hitter. He has scored approximately 900 runs in just 25 matches, windies will trust Hetmyer  as a middle order batsman in this world cup. He will have to play his nature game and help west indies do good this world cup.


Evin Lewis: This man will accompany universe boss Chris Gayle in the world cup. He is a gentle player who just looks to score much and play his nature game. He has a balanced strike rate of 82 and a good average of 32 in One Day cricket. His highest score of 176 has given him a great importance in the world he plays now in different cricket leagues of the world.

Bowling Eggs:
  

Fabian Allen: He started his career last year and has played 4 one-day matches till now. His age is just 23 and he is named as bowler. But still, he has not taken maiden wicket in his one-day career although his T20 performance has been good. He has scored 25 runs with a strike rate of 48.1. This man will have to show that he was a good choice for the West Indies.

Sheldon Cottrell: He debuted for the Windies in 2015, since then he has got 15 wickets with a decent average of 26.8 and an economy of 6.21. He has also got a five-fer. His fast-medium bowling skills will surely help him the world cup and he will be a big asset for the Caribbean team in the World Cup.

Shannon Gabriel: 23 wickets in 18 matches, economy of 5.59, best figures of 3/17 makes him the leading gun of his team’s pace attack in the mega event. He has been a regular part of the Windies in the World Cup and the captain will rely on him in the cup.

Ashley Nurse: Nurse is a well-experienced right-arm off spin bowler and has taken 42 wickets in 45 matches. His economy is 5.16 and bowling average is 43.3. He has also scored over 400 runs in his career. He will lead their spin-bowling attack in the world cup.

Kemar Roach: This Bowling majesty is known as the “KING OF SWING”. Having an experience of over 10 years, he has played 80 one day matches and has got 114 wickets with 3 five-fers and 3 four wicket-hauls. His average is 29.1 and economy is 5. His best bowling figures are 6/27.

Oshane Thomas: He is also a right arm fast-bowler. He has played 9 matches and has got 15 wickets, best bowling figures are 5/21.Average is 27.6 and economy is 7.22. This guy will also help his team in the mega event.

All-Round Eggs:

He is a perfect all-rounder having scored 389 runs with a strike rare of 86.1 and 31 wickets in 33 matches with best figures of 5/27. He can change any game in seconds and is a perfect finisher of his team.

Andre Russell: He is a middle-order batsman of Windies who is in great form nowadays in different cricket leagues of the world. He is also a great Hard-Hitter who is a game changer. He has played over 50 matches in his career scoring 998 runs with a majestic strike rate of 130.4 and average of 28.5. His best batting score 92 came off on just 46 balls against India in 2011.

Wicket-Keeping Eggs:

Shai Hope: Shai Hope becomes the hope of his team when his team is in desperate need. He has scored 1777 runs having played 49 matches with a great average of 45.6. His strike rate is 72.4. He has also scored 4 centuries and 8 fifties in his career. He has also caught 47 catches and has done 8 stumping in his wicket-keeping career.

Nicholas Pooran: He has just played a single one-day game but due to his T20 skills, he has been selected in the squad. His T20 strike rate is over 140 and has scored 2 half-centuries. He also plays cricket leagues all around the world. So he will help west indies as a good backup wicket keeper.


P.S:

Kieron Pollard has been in great form in different cricket leagues around the world but has not been selected in the squad.

Sunil Narine is a perfect all-rounder who’s strike rate is amazing but he has also been dropped from the squad.


  
West Indies have got great experienced and big hard hitters in their team but they will have to work hard if they have to do something special in the World Cup.
